Tiny Ruins unveils the subtle shadows of new David Lynch-recorded single “Dream Wave”

“Dream Wave” is a serene, simple track featuring faintly folk-like melodies and a slow building sense of the eerie. It kicks off with gentle acoustic touches and rich vocals, but as time passes, echoes intensify and discordant pieces emerge. A subtle yet remarkable piece.

The collaboration with renowned director/producer came about when Ella Yelich O’Connor – Lorde – sent him the demo of “Dream Wave”. Fullbrook discovered (while crashing on a stranger’s floor in Boston during her US tour) that Lynch really liked the track and wanted to record it with her. She traveled to Los Angeles, where “Dream Wave” was recorded with Lynch at his Hollywood Hills studio when Fullbrook finally met him – the outcome is truly exceptional.

This new single follows the release of last year’s Bella Union EP Hurtling Through (released by Flying Nun in NZ and Spunk in Australia). “Dream Wave” is out on a limited edition 7″, and pre-orders are open now.
