2017-18 saw New York-based producer midnight unveil the first collection of songs from his newly-released Nocturne EP. The enigmatic artist has now delivered the capstone for Nocturne via eclectic track “Archon” – a collaboration with fellow New York-based producer ylxr.
“Archon” is a rollercoaster ride of dynamics and structure. Trap-inspired beats and glitchy sonics continually shift back and forth, keeping the listener on the edge of their seat. Midnight’s sultry and soulful vocals are consistent as ever, acting as the linchpin for the ever-evolving lo-fi production.
